Confirm practical details

  • Check the agreed time and contact method with the provider.
  • Explain building access and any steps or lift arrangements.
  • Ask what space or equipment is needed for your assessment.
  • Keep relevant clinical records and instructions available.

Make room for a conversation

Choose a space where you feel comfortable discussing your needs. Ask whether a family member or caregiver should be present. You do not need to buy equipment simply because a generic website recommends it.

On the day

Tell the clinician about changes since you arranged the visit. If you are unsure whether a concern needs urgent care, seek appropriate medical advice rather than waiting for a routine physiotherapy appointment.
